Summer Vacation

For our vacation this past summer, June 2012, we drove to Colorado Springs to visit with my younger brother, his wife and their cute baby boy M. The drive is a bit long especially when you drive through Wyoming but the destination was worth it. We spent the week with my brothers family and we did all sorts of fun things. We went camping, hiking, Jeeping, went to a Renaissance Festival, the zoo and lots of parks with lots of walks. The worst part is that we lost our camera near the end of the trip, and of course I had not emptied the SD card before we left, I don't even want to think of all the pictures that we lost. Thankfully my mom was with us on vacation and loves to take pictures. The best part is that we were there to celebrate M's first birthday! My brother and his family were great hosts and Colorado Springs is a beautiful place to visit!

Sweet Trip

At the the first of December me and Peter were able to go to Washington D.C. to celebrate with my brother while he received a special award. Although it was a short trip it was an amazing place to visit. There is so much to see in D.C. and all of the buildings are beautiful and interesting to look at. One interesting fact about D.C. is apparently if you live there you have to run everywhere during any of your spare time. I have never seen so many people running! It was a great trip and it was nice to spend some time with my family and Peter.

"Donut" Falls

In October we finally made it up to "Donut Falls". This is a great family hike, short and fairly easy. The boys love to be outdoors and have lots of energy so hiking is a family favorite. We did see some fall leaves, but unfortunately the leaves were on the ground and not in the trees, we missed it by a week.

Halloween

It was a beautiful night to have Halloween! No coats, no rain and no snow, just perfect. We went trick or treating with our great friends the Malmstroms and the Loves. With the warm weather the kids could have gone all night, it was the adults that were getting worn out!

Aydan was totally in character for his picture as a skeleton!

Sam as our cute cowboy.

No surprise that Wyatt would not put on his costume,
use your imagination he was suppose to be a dragon.

Look at all those cute kids!
