The Search

After 12 years our toaster has died. It no longer will toast anything at any level. So we put that one to rest in the garbage and went off to Target. Who would guess there are so many different types of toasters. 4 slice, 2 slice, chrome, white, black, some that are wide, and have fancy frozen and bagel buttons. I just wanted a simple toaster, you know the kind that makes um toast. So after some thought we decided on a more expensive one that was a 4 slice with a bagel button. I know we are fancy! We brought this beauty home all shiny and new and only one side works. So the 4 slice is really 2 slice. How is this possible, the toaster is brand new and fancy with buttons. So back into the fancy packaging and off the Target we go. This time I will not be fooled. I picked up the simplest, most inexpensive white toaster I could find. After all our last one was inexpensive, white with no fancy buttons. Again ride home with some excitement, I am simple, I love buying new appliances even if it was only $8.00. Get it out of the plastic and cardboard, get my bread all ready for its new home. Throw in the bread and what is this, it does not fit. It leaves about 1 inch of the top of the bread out of the toaster. Now this is not big bread, just normal sized everyday bread. BOO! Okay fine, but after burning 3 pieces trying to find the right number for my huge bread I am done. I just want a piece of toast. So this one goes back into its not so fancy packaging and we again search for the perfect toaster. This time we will try Costco. Where we find a 2 slice, chrome, type of rounded shape toaster. It looks like a toaster, the bread in the picture looks like it fits and it too has fancy buttons. We trudge home, get out our enormous bread and pop it in. We have success! It fits, it works and I have myself a nice piece of toast. Our search is done, now lets hope this one lasts 12 years too.

More Pearl Jam

Here are a couple of videos of the concert. It is hard to video while you are freaking out on the fifth row so I apologize for the "shakyness." And by the way, Annie is happily married to Peter! We also saw Pearl Jam in Boise, we were on the 3rd row there. Pearl Jam really is a live band. Their music is great but it really is a much better experience to hear it live!!!!!

Pearl Jam Baby!

On September 28th Pearl Jam was back in Salt Lake City! If you know us at all you know that we are big fans, especially Peter. When they come in concert we like to make road trips out of it and try to see them as many times as possible. We have seen them in Tennessee, California a number of times, Las Vegas, Arizona and Canada. Unfortunately now that we have the boys it has become harder to get away for our road trips. Thankfully this time around they ended up coming to Salt Lake, so no traveling for us. The concert was awesome, it did help that we were on the 5th row! They are great live and are awesome interacting with the crowd. I think Eddie Vedder wants to marry me!

Oh Aydan

A couple of weeks ago my mom and some friends were over for dinner. Aydan eats fast and always gets done before anyone else. So he was pestering all of us to get done so we could play with him. Peter gave him several warnings to leave us alone but he kept at it. So Peter took him in the other room for a time out. When Aydan came out he went up to my mom and told her in his most serious voice "my parents have destroyed my heart!" That's Aydan for you, so dramatic! He is always making us laugh!!
