Here is a funny video of Sophie (our first child). We wrapped her up in a bandage and . . . well you'll see. Pretty funny.

Here are a few pictures of Sophie acting like an person.

New Arrival

Samuel Paul was born Thursday May 15th at 1246pm. We were very excited that he decided to come 2 weeks early. He is 6 lbs 11 0z, and 20.5 inches long. We love all of his black hair and so far he is a easy going baby. Almost too easy going, it is impossible to wake him up to fed him. Even the nurses could not wake him up. He is not bothered by much. Aydan is still unsure of this new arrival, but is getting more comfortable around Samuel. Aydan still calls him his baby and likes to look at him but not hold him yet.

Enjoy some of these pictures of Samuel.

Here is a video of Aydan singing the theme song to his favorite cartoon Max and Ruby. Then it shows him saying the joke that Peter taught him. Here is the joke in case you need a translation. What is a fish with no eyes... fsh. Ha Ha!!

Idaho Visit

The first weekend in May we were able to travel to Idaho Falls to watch Aydan's cousin Dusty wrestle in the state tournament. Dusty is ten years old and won first place. Aydan's other cousin Lindsay was also there. Aydan had a great time playing with his older cousins. He pretty much ignored me and Peter the whole time. Aydan had no use for his parents as long as his cousins were there.

After the wrestling tournament which took all of one hour we decided to go to Bear World. It is a great place where you drive around and see real black bears and grizzly bears. There was over 40 bears around. A lot were still sleeping in their dens but we still saw enough to make Aydan really excited. There was also a petting zoo where Aydan feed some deer and there were rides that Aydan's cousins convinced him to go on. Aydan is a cautious child that usually won't try things like amusement park rides. We got him to ride the car ride that went up into the air and a ride like the tea cups at Disney Land. He was petrified on the tea cup ride.

Aydan also had a great time swimming. Although the pool was freezing they played in the pool for hours. Aydan mostly stayed on the stairs and splashed his cousins.

We all had a great time in Idaho Falls. It was fun to see Aydan interact with his cousins, and have so much fun.

Leave Me Alone

This is a funny story about what a pill Aydan can be, and what we love him for. If it wasn't for all these funny things he does our lives would be that much more boring! Aydan was up later than usually and Peter was giving him a bath, during the bath he kept saying "leave me alone". So after the bath Peter laid Aydan on the floor wrapped in his towel, I went to get him dress and do our nightly routine. But Aydan would have none of it. He insisted that I leave him alone. I left and came back about 5 minutes later and he still was wrapped in his towel on the floor saying "just leave me alone". So that's exactly what I did. I turned off the light, covered him in a blanket and left. About 10 minutes later I checked on him and surprise, surprise he was sound asleep curled up in his towel and blanket. I guess he really wanted to be left alone to get some sleep. Sounds just like someone we know (his mom)! Mr. Personality at his best!
P.S. We did go in later to dress him in p.j.s and put him in bed.

The Ball

We had an eventful evening last night. Aydan was suppose to be asleep in bed, when he came out crying. He was standing in the kitchen with his finger in his nose saying "there is a orange ball stuck in my nose". We got the flashlight and what did we find stuck in his left nostril but a small orange ball, the kind they use for the soft pellet guns. So we rushed Aydan to the urgent care down the street and they were able to extract the ball in less than 5 seconds. 35 dollars and a small car trip later the ball was out. Aydan was a perfect angel at the doctors, and if you know Aydan this was no small feat. Aydan was visiting and flirting with the RN and doctor, probably because they were both women. Aydan loves the ladies! Hopefully Aydan has learned not to but small objects in his nose, and we have learned not to give Aydan small objects to play with in bed!
