15 months sort of...

Sammers finally had his 15 month well baby check-up. He is still growing in the inches but not so much in the pounds. Sam weighs a whopping 22 lbs (21%) and is 33 1/2 inches (94%). He did have to get two shots his flu shot and vaccination. He cried while it was happening but stopped shortly after. He does pretty well until the next day. Of course he gets the fever, irritability and runny nose. Just when we get his sleeping under control he gets more shots and we have to start over! Sam is a handful but so much fun. He is always smiling and laughing. Have you ever seen a kid who will laugh when you have to wipe his nose, well Sam does! Apparently he thinks it is funny. The boys have so much fun wrestling and chasing each other. I really am glad that I have my two boys! Love you Sammers.

The serious Sam.

Sam's cheesy smile.

Sam's favorite, getting in the cupboard and finding a snack. He never stops eating!

New found love, books! He has finally learned to sit still long enough to actually read some books. Lots of oohs and ahhs.

Where's Sam?

Sam really loves my sisters seeing eye dog. She doesn't mind Sam pestering her.

Of course Sam wants to be like big brother Aydan, backpack and all!

A New Preschool

A new preschool and Aydan is loving it. We have been very lucky to find a new preschool that Aydan loves, is learning a lot and the teacher Miss Mindy is awesome. Aydan just loves to go to school and loves doing homework. I love all the crafts that he is making and his enthusiasm for learning. Such a smarty pants!

Cabin Fever

We spent a lot of time up at the cabin this summer. The cabin is a bit of a dive but it is still fun to be up in the mountains away from the usual routine. Aydan and of course Peter and Annie really enjoyed the 4-wheelers. We all just love getting on the 4-wheelers and taking a nice long drive. Of course we have to leave Sammers behind, he is not to fond of the 4-wheelers, they make him cry. This year we were lucky to see a ton of moose. Most of the time they are hard to find but this year they were in abundance, along with deer and even a porcupine. Now we just need to get Sammers to sleep better at the cabin and it would be perfect.

The family at the cabin. What a view.

The leaves are already changing.

The grumpy moose. Moose always appear to grumpy to me.

Soccer

Aydan started soccer a couple of weeks ago and is loving it. The games are pretty funny to watch, a bunch of kids running around most of which have no idea what they are doing. Our dreams of Aydan becoming an international soccer star have been smashed. Although he really loves running around and enjoys the games he really does not get how to play. And he has made two goals. But we all have a good time watching the boys cheer each other on and giving hugs. It really is cute!

Aydan actually kicking the ball!

Look at that stance!

Just had to throw this picture in. We bought Aydan some cowboy boots and here he is posing. Isn't he so dang cute!

The Last Day

It was a sad day last Wednesday. Peter had to go back to school! Oh boo!! It has been so great to have Peter home. He cooks, he cleans and he does anything I ask. What a great husband! But the day has come where he has to go and make a living. The boys will be sad, he is the breakfast cook. I don't like breakfast so its cereal and sometimes oatmeal. When Peter is home its omelets, pancakes, eggs and waffles. We are so spoiled! So the last day he was home we did one last fun activity. We headed up to Red Butte then The Spaghetti Factory for dinner. It was a great last day. We will miss you Mr. Mom!

What a mess!

Memory Grove

One of our favorite Sunday activities is to go up to City Creek Canyon and Memory Grove. It is so pretty up there and just a great place to sit and relax. There is a little creek that the boys can play in and lots of open space so Sam can run around.

My big boy, Aydan.

Cute little Sam.

Aydan as always being silly.

Garden Glory

This year we started our first garden. It has been wonderful. We have so many tomatoes, green beans, peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumber, jalapenos, onions, cherry tomatoes and soon we will have potatoes, and butternut squash. My new favorite thing is every evening I go out and pick all the produce usually I am out there by myself I just find it so relaxing and satisfying, we grew all this! Everything is just so yummy and Peter makes such great salsa and spaghetti sauce. So far we have made pickled jalapenos, salsa, spaghetti sauce with no canned tom just fresh, mozzarella and tomatoes, vegetable stew and BLT's. We just love summer food!!

Our lovely tomatoes

Peter's incredible salsa, he is so talented.
